Inspirational thought for the day?

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

Earlier today I came across this quote from Rudyard Kipling:

“If you don’t get what you want, it’s a sign either that you did not seriously want it, or that you tried to bargain over the price.”

It’s pretty adept at getting to the point of the matter isn’t it? How many times have you failed to get what you want because you just didn’t want it enough or because you balked at the price you would have to pay for it in either monetary or time commitment terms?

If we truly want something enough, we will go that extra mile to find a way to get it, whether that means somehow earning the extra money required or re-jigging our schedule so that we can fit in the time commitment we need to invest in it.

The point of this quote, comes back to having a deep enough reason ‘why’ you want something. When your ‘why’ drives what you want, you will do what it takes, when your ‘why’ is not strong enough to drive your want, you won’t get it – so simple it seems stupid huh?

Next time you are sitting there feeling sorry about not getting something that you ‘want’, take a couple of minutes to analyse that situation a bit more so you can figure out why you couldn’t have it:

Was it because you couldn’t afford it?

Was it because you liked the idea at the time then got side-tracked by something else before you hit that buy button?

Was it because you liked it but not enough to pay the asking price?

Now ask yourself  how much you really wanted whatever it was that you didn’t get?

You see if you really, really wanted that thing, if wanting it tapped into your driving force, you would have found a way to get it. Instead of talking yourself out of it for whatever reason, you would have been talking yourself through ways of overcoming any obstacles to getting it.

So what I’m trying to say here is:

Don’t waste time regretting what you didn’t get – use that time constructively – spend a few minutes analysing precisely why you talked yourself out of getting it, then let it go. This will give you more time to work on those strategies to help you get the things that you really do want!

Don’t sweat the small stuff and don’t waste time haggling the price of something that you do want – if you can’t afford it right now, spend that time working out ways to help you to afford it as soon as possible. If you can afford it and you want it enough, don’t let the opportunity to fulfil yourself slip by – but by the same token, if you are balking at the price of somethingthat you can afford, do a quick re-check because it probably means that deep down, that want is not driven by your ‘why’ – face up to that and again, let it go…

Creating Professional Looking Videos

Sunday, June 21st, 2009

A great way to build a relationship with your targetted traffic audience is via the use of video on your sites. This enables you to really start to build a relationship with your visitors, and fast, as they can see and or hear you rather than simply read your words.

If you are like me and are wary of being in front of the camera, it is possible to still make professional videos using  just your voice rather than you sitting in front of a web-cam.

Two of the greatest finds that I have made in the past couple of months, enable me to do just this. For example the videos in my posts below were made using a great new software called Article Video Robot those videos literally took me a few minutes to create, as a basis for them, I used blog posts that I had written for one of my other blogs.

All I had to do then was copy paste that post into the software, click a button to split it into paragraphs, add my voice over to each paragraph and choose a background. Hey ho it was ready to go, the software converts it for you and sends you a download link when it’s ready to be downloaded to your hard drive. Alternatively you can choose to upload it immediately to YouTube or any of several other media sites..

See a little more on how this works here:

The second excellent find in relation to creating videos was JingProject.com this literally enables you to create videos in much the same way as when using Camtasia software. There are free and an upgraded version of this software license available, and believe me for $14.99 per year, the upgrade is well worth it. You can see an example of a video I made using this software here:

By the way if you aren’t using Viral Networks to enhance your business networking opportunites (that’s their forum you see in the vid), you really need to consider it, it works very effectively for free members as well as upgraded ones :)

As always feel free to let me know if you have any questions about this post, I’m always happy to hear from you..

Hope, how does it affect you?

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

I recently blogged a little about this on one of my other blogs and because I like this topic so much, (and because I like to share some pretty esoteric thoughts now and again), I decided that if I make a video of the post I would be able to share it on some of my other sites without upsetting the search engines :)

I used the Article Video Robot software that we mention on our main site to make this video, it’s very simple to use and I think it turns articles and blog posts into pretty professional looking vids with very little work on my part (let me know if you agree lol).

If you are interested to know more you can check out AVR for yourself here: Article Video Robot – (free trial available).

Targetted Traffic

Saturday, June 13th, 2009

I thought it would make a change to do some video blogging – a great way to share my blog posts without upsetting the search engines I hope lol).

The following video I made using the article to video software that we recommend on our main site, I find it wonderfully beneficial because although I don’t mind doing the audio, I don’t like being on camera so this software enables me to make my own vids, using my own words, I just love it!

Hope you enjoy the video, it’s about getting generic traffic to your main sites.

A great free advertising source

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

Ads n Cash is a really neat source of free advertising and it is also a downline builder and a list building system.

When you join as a free member you receive $250 worth of advertising in the owners traffic exchange (which is listed in Affiliate Funnel and climbing the user voted ranks there). Free advertising is always a good thing and a fairly easy thing to give away to others (so building your contact list and potential for having your downline follow you into the other programmes you fancy in the downline builder).

Jason, the admin, is really helpful and he has developed a good set of affiliate marketing tools to help you to advertise this programme.

There is an upgrade option available which offers even more value for a one time only fee and he does regular deals on his upgrade membership fee so if you do decide to join and take advantage of the free advertising keep an eye out for the upgrade offers.

For example as a free member of Ads n Cash you also receive 10,000 free credits at Free Traffic Bar, Traffic Swarm and the One System, if you later choose to upgrade you will receive another 15,000 credits in each of these systems, that’s without the benefits of the system itself!

Jason also runs a forum for members to offer support and guidance to each other. He monitors the forum and visits regularly himself and also has a trusted mod to help him there, so any questions that you have are answered quickly and it’s a good place to get some added exposure for yourself and your online rep :)

This is a good place to start if you are new and looking for ways to increase your visibility and kudos online and it’s a neat place to frequent even if you are a more experienced marketer still looking for alternative list building avenues.

Overall a neat tool to add to your marketing arsenal, definitely gets a thumbs up from us :)

Why LeadGusher?

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

Another of the free advertising tools that we choose to mention on our main site is Lead Gusher

This is a great little programme that really allows you to build your list fast. People love the idea of generating free traffic and the way this works is to give you an ad page that contains a text ad, which you set up and directs people towards your main site or business opportunity site, a text ad to encourage people to check out more info about Lead Gusher and sign up for themselves (under you) and a text ad to encourage people to sign up for Brams other traffic programme (again under you as it’s free to become an affiliate there so you may as well increase your portfolio even if you only advertise it on this page).

Your Leadgusher ad page also contains a banner ad for GDI, which is the only downside (unless you promote GDI – which I don’t).

Generic traffic is generated for your ad because as part of the set up process you are encouraged to find 3 keyword phrases that relate to the site you are advertising. Once you have entered these keyword phrases, the system then automatically begins to pull in rss feeds related to those keywords, thereby adding fresh content to your page constantly.

This means that you start to rank high in the search engines for those particular keywords because your content is updated regularly :)

My ad page looks like this:

LG Ad Page

As you can see Bram has also recently added a large banner to another traffic generating site called My Social Url which he set up with a friend and is a system that allows you to link together several of your social networking profiles along with advertising your main site r business opp. All in all a very neat little package – especially as it has no cost implications (unless you choose to buy the upgrade at LG, but there is no obligation).

So you really do get to hit a few balls out of the park with this one, build your list, advertise your site plus several affiliate links and even some of your social profiles if you choose to engage with Brams other traffic generators..

Free and low cost advertising

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009

It took me a while to get my head around this one when I first started I have to say. It’s all too easy to get caught up in the next best thing and end up being a member of so many of these advertising sites that you have no hope of posting there regularly never mind using them to build a decent downline and make some extra cash.

Once you do get the gist of this idea, it can provide you with a very decent income that really helps to cover the cost of your online expenses fairly fast. I know of one person at least who makes all of his money this way, he has been focussing on this for years and doesn’t bother at all with any other kind of business opportunity, preferring to lead his people into new and profitable free advertising sites that offer upgrade options.

That’s the reason that we chose to focus on free and low cost advertising sites on the home page of our site.

To start with a neat little programme called Pyrabang this is an advertising community that aims to make us, the advertisers, into the media. We get to post anything that we want and can earn money by investing in other peoples posts and / or by referring other upgraded members.

It is possible to use Pyrabang for free but it is far more effective to take the $5.95 per month gold upgrade.

Check out this video for a bit more information on how this works and what it can do for you and of course leave us a comment if you have any further queries :) it can look a bit complex at first sight, but believe me it’s well worth getting into, I call it Digg on steroids because there’s so much great info to be found there, people post all kinds of links, not just ads although there are plenty of those too :) .

Ace Wealth Builder – Purpose

Monday, June 8th, 2009

Our reason for setting up the Ace Wealth Builder site (apart from to make money lol) is to help other marketers, especially new ones, to have a smoother learning curve than we did.

Now don’t get me wrong, one of the things that we love most about this business is that you never stop learning, there’s always something else to learn, but we want to be able to help other people to start earning faster so that their costs are covered and they get a little money in their pockets as quickly as possible. That doesn’t mean that we’re going to tell you that we’ll make you rich overnight – we’re still working on perfecting that one ourselves :)

If you have any questions about any of the info that appears on the main site, please feel free to leave a comment and we’ll get back to you.
